Advisory Board.
Centre Palisades has an Advisory Board with key industry players who
provide access to Broadband Technology, Interactive Services, and strategic
players in the media and entertainment content creation, aggregation,
and distribution businesses. The Advisory Board provides industry expertise,
introductions to key relationships in the sector, and access to deal
flow.
Initial members of the Advisory Board are:
Dennis H. Leibowitz, Act II Partners, LP
Prior to founding Act II Partners in 2002, securities analyst Dennis
Leibowitz had covered the broadcasting, cable television, wireless,
and satellite industries, for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette from
1977 to the merger with Credit Suisse First Boston in October 2000
and then for CSFB. Prior to that, Mr. Leibowitz was an analyst at
several other firms and was a trainee at Merrill Lynch upon graduation
from the Wharton School, where he obtained a B.S. in Economics. For
more than two decades, Institutional Investor voted Mr. Leibowitz
one of the top analysts on its All-America Research Team. In 17 of
those years, he was ranked No.1 in at least one category. He is a
past president of the Media & Entertainment Analysts Society of
New York, as well as of the Cable Television Analysts Group.
Mr. Leibowitz belongs to the New York Society of Security Analysts,
and was a director of the International Radio & Television Society.
During his tenure at DLJ he was honored with the firms Super
Achiever Award three times, placing him in the DLJ Hall of Fame, the
firms highest distinction. Leibowitz has been a guest speaker
at numerous industry forums and has appeared on the television program
Wall Street Week. For 16 years, Mr. Leibowitz hosted Wall Streets
original and largest wireless industry conference, in New York. He
also hosted DLJs fourth annual satellite industry conference
and, in 1999, acted as host of DLJs first annual Media Week.
David Nathanson, Vice President, Broadband Strategy & Channel
Development, Fox Cable Networks Group, and General Manager, Fox Sports
Digital Nets
David Nathanson has served as Vice President, Broadband Strategy and
Channel Development, Fox Cable Networks Group, since August, 2001 and
General Manager of Fox Sports Digital Nets since April 2001. He has
been with FCNG since September 2000, serving as Director, Broadband
Strategy. One of the more significant growth areas of News Corporation,
FCNG oversees more than 30 domestic cable and satellite networks in
which parent Fox Entertainment Group and News Corporation hold interests.
During that time, Mr. Nathanson has helped advance the distribution
and placement of FCNGs broadband businesses, including Interactive
Television, Virtual Channels, Video-On-Demand, and T-Commerce. In addition,
as the Vice President of Channel Development, he has helped develop
new programming services to broaden FCNGs existing channel portfolio.
As GM of Fox Sports Digital Nets, Mr. Nathanson manages a multi-channel
digital sports network aimed at leveling the playing field between DBS
and cable television sports programming. The super-regional multiplex
includes Fox Sports Digital Atlantic, Fox Sports Digital Central, and
Fox Sports Digital Pacific. Fox Sports Digital Nets launched in the
summer of 2001 and currently reaches over 3-million cable television
subscribers.
Prior to joining FCNG, he was Director of Marketing for News Corporation.
As such, he evaluated new media opportunities and strategic alliances.
He also built News Corps ITV lab that houses all current and emerging
Interactive Television technologies.
Before News Corporation, Mr. Nathanson was the Manager of Strategic
Planning for Cablevision Systems Corporations New Media Division
and a Corporate Analyst for Comcast Cable Communications.
Mr. Nathanson graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania
and is currently enrolled in the fully-employed MBA program at the
Anderson School of Management at UCLA. He sits on the Cable &
Telecommunications Association for Marketings (CTAM) Cable Network
ITV Council and is Chairman CablePositive Los Angeles. David was named
one of Cable Fax Magazines 100 most influential executives in
the cable television industry in 2000 and 2001.
Jeff Sine, Vice Chairman, Global Head
of Telecommunications and Technology,
UBS Warburg
Prior to joining UBS Warburg in 2001, Jeff Sine was Managing Director,
Head of Global Media at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. (Morgan
Stanley) where he had worked since 1986. At Morgan Stanley, Sine acted
as advisor to Time Warner in its merger with AOL and in its acquisition
of Turner Broadcasting; he represented Viacom in its merger with CBS
and its sale of Simon & Schuster. His group also represented Seagrams
in its merger with Vivendi and also lead managed the initial public
offerings of Mediaset in Italy; Societe Europeanne des Satellites
in Luxembourg; Grupo Prisa in Spain; Austar in Australia and Cox Communications
in the United States. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Sine was a lawyer
at Sullivan and Cromwell in New York City. Mr. Sine received his B.A.
from American University and his J.D. from the University of Southern
California.
Andy Sriubas, Managing Director, Media Investment Banking, UBS
Warburg
Andy Sriubas, Managing Director, Media Investment Banking, UBS Warburg
has over thirteen years of experience in the communications, media
and entertainment financing and advisory business, and has important
relationships with industry leaders those fields. Mr. Sriubas was
a Senior Vice President at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities
Corp. ("DLJ") prior to joining UBS.
His clients include many of the largest media and entertainment companies
in the world, such as The News Corporation, Ltd., Vivendi / Universal,
Viacom, Metro-Goldwyn Mayer, USA Interactive, and Hallmark Entertainment.
Prior to DLJ, Mr. Sriubas was a banker at Citicorp Securities. Mr.
Sriubas received his B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Finance from Boston
College. He is on the board of directors for New York City Boy Scouts
of America and a member of the International Radio and Television
society.
