Palisades Ventures is managed by an experienced group of investment
professionals with relevant industry and technology knowledge, including
a group of Centre Partners Managing Directors and employees. The General
Partner consists of: senior investment professionals from Centre Partners
Management LLC, a private equity investment firm that has invested
over $2 billion in more than 60 companies since it was founded in 1986;
a senior investment banking professional with extensive experience
in the communications, media and entertainment financing and advisory
business; and investment professionals with relevant technical and
industry knowledge. The Fund’s Advisory Board provides the General
Partner with access to strategic relationships, deal flow, and industry
expertise in the broadband technology, interactive services, and media
and entertainment content creation, aggregation, and distribution
businesses.

Centre Palisades
Paul D’Addario, Co-Founder, Senior Managing Director
Mr. D’Addario, a former member of the Media/Telecom Group
of CSFB, has over fifteen years of experience in the communications,
media and entertainment financing and advisory business, and has
important relationships with industry leaders in those fields. Mr.
D’Addario
was a Managing Director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities
Corp. (DLJ), prior to CSFB’s acquisition of DLJ. At DLJ,
he was a member of the investment committee of the DLJ New Economy
Fund and managed a number of high-profile financings and M&A
deals for major media, technology and entertainment companies
including: Crown Media Holdings, Inc., IMAX Corp., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer,
Inc., and Turner Broadcasting.
Mr. D’Addario has developed relationships with private media,
technology, and entertainment companies and maintains strong relationships
with other major venture firms, investment banks, and accounting and
law firms. Mr. D’Addario is a board observer for Zinio Systems.
Prior to DLJ, Mr. D’Addario was in the M&A Group of Weil,
Gotshal & Manges LLP. Mr. D’Addario received a B.A. from
Boston College, a M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and
a J.D. from Villanova Law School.
Anders Richardson, Co-Founder, Managing Director
Mr. Richardson is active in all aspects of deal sourcing, due diligence
and execution. Prior to co-founding the fund with Mr. D’Addario,
Mr. Richardson worked in the Investment Banking Division of DLJ and
focused on public and private placements of debt and equity securities
and buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory services in a variety
of industries. Mr. Richardson sits on the boards of SOA Software and V-Enable and is a board observer for Lucix Corporation and Language Weaver. Mr. Richardson received
a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.
Henry Lichstein, Venture Partner
Mr. Lichstein joined the General Partner in 2000. Prior to that,
Mr. Lichstein spent thirty years shaping Citibank’s technology
vision and practice, where he held management positions in treasury
and financial control and managed a number of Citibank technology
projects and ventures. He became Assistant to the Chairman in 1988
where he focused on technology planning and coordination. He led studies
of the use and management of technology, created Citibank’s
Corporate Technology Office, and significantly expanded Citibank’s
presence on the Internet.
Mr. Lichstein identified a number of new technology investments,
including Teradata, Phone.com and WebTV, which generated profits of
$200 million for Citibank on original investments of approximately
$30 million. Mr. Lichstein obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering
and in Economics and an M.S. in Management, all at Massachusetts Institute
of Technology. He is currently on the Board of Lucix Corporation and
was on the Board of Teradata. Mr. Lichstein was a Trustee of the Santa
Fe Institute and the Summer Science Program, Inc.
Centre Partners
Bruce Pollack, Senior Managing Director
Mr. Pollack has over sixteen years of experience in private equity.
He currently serves as a Managing Director of Centre Partners. Before
joining Centre Partners in 1991, Mr. Pollack was at TSG Holdings,
Inc., a diversified investment company, and RSG Partners, Inc., a
private equity investment firm.
Mr. Pollack began his career in the mergers and acquisitions departments
of Becker Paribas Inc. and Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. His investment
experience encompasses cable, radio, and other media concerns. Mr.
Pollack is a currently a director of Emerald City Radio Partners LLC,
Salton, Inc. (NYSE: SFP) and a number of private boards. Previously,
Mr. Pollack was a member of the advisory board to Intermedia Partners
and served on the board of Muzak L.P. Mr. Pollack received a B.A.
from Brandeis University.
David Jaffe, Managing Director
Mr. Jaffe joined Centre Partners in 2001. Prior to that he was a
Managing Director at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners where he had been
a founding member and had worked since 1985. He joined DLJ Securities
Corp. in 1984. He currently serves on the board of directors of Duane
Read, Inc. (NYSE: DRD), International Imaging Materials, Inc., OSF,
Hyco International, Inc. and Autoland, Inc., as well as Target Media
Partners.
Mr. Jaffe previously served on the board of directors of Wilson Greatbatch,
Ltd., Terra Nova Group, Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals S.A., Brand
Services, Inc., NACOLAH Holding Corporation, NextPharma Technologies
S.A., and several other private companies. He also serves as a director
of Project A.L.S., a charitable organization focused on funding research
for the treatment of Lou Gehrig’s Disease and as a director
of All Souls School in New York City. Mr. Jaffe received an A.B. from
Harvard College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania.
Robert Bergmann, Managing Director
Mr. Bergmann has over ten years of experience in private equity
ranging from early stage venture capital investments to leveraged
buyouts. He currently serves as a Managing Director of Centre Partners,
which he joined in 1989. At Centre Partners, Mr. Bergmann has been
responsible for a number of cable and technology investments. Prior
to joining Centre Partners, Mr. Bergmann worked in the Investment
Banking Department of DLJ. Mr. Bergmann serves as a director on a
number of boards including Centre Pacific and Salton, Inc. (NYSE:
SFP). He previously served on the board of Muzak L.P. and Discovermusic.com.
Mr. Bergmann received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School
of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business
School.
